THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT WILL HAPPEN TO EACH ZODIAC SIGN IN 2023
2023 has arrived and with it a whole host of transits and opportunities. With the change in the air, it’s no surprise that we want to know how the astrological forecast will affect us. It’s always helpful to have an idea of what’s to come to help embrace our potential and make the most of the year.
While each zodiac sign will experience transits differently, a few notable dates to keep in mind are:
January 12: Mars Retrograde in Gemini comes to an end, marking a turning point for our energy levels, our drive, and all that tension.
January 18: Mercury in Retrograde in the sign of Capricorn comes to an end.
March 7: Saturn enters Pisces, marking a shift in boundaries and structures (Pisces placements, especially those with Saturn in Pisces, will notably feel this one).
April 20: A powerful Solar Eclipse in Aries takes place (for the first time in almost two decades!)
April 21: The second Mercury Retrograde of the year begins in the sign of Taurus.
July 17: The North Node is in Aries (again, for the first time in a few decades) pushing to take charge of your future in a big way.
July 22: Venus Retrograde in Leo begins and asks you to slow down in terms of your relationships.
August 23: The third Mercury in Retrograde appears in the sign of Virgo.
October 14: There’s a Solar Eclipse in Libra.
October 28: There’s a Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (yes, it’s a little intense).
Of course, some of these transits will affect some signs more than others, and while it’s important to keep our minds open, it doesn’t hurt to have a little bit of focus geared toward some specific events and areas of our lives. While there is plenty to be aware of and look forward to, what important things should keep your eyes on the lookout for?
Check out your zodiac sign below (Sun and Rising!) to see what the most important thing to happen to you will be in 2023.
Aries
Truthfully, 2023 is coming out in full force for you, Aries. Two major events—a solar eclipse on April 20th and the North Node entering your sign on July 17th—are both ready to clear the air and motivate you to discover what you want out of this life. This will likely lead to some exciting, if not a little intimidating, self-discovery, as well as a pretty significant shake-up in your life as a whole. Your friends, career, and relationships may be put to the test as you set new boundaries for yourself and pursue new paths, but don’t worry—the people who stick around are the ones you know you can fully trust. It’s going to be a big year!
Taurus
This year, the most important thing to happen to you will revolve around your relationships—most notably, the ones in your home. Your ruling planet, Venus, will move into Leo and then retrograde starting July 22nd, meaning that your love life and relationships will require some patience and reassessment. This isn’t a bad thing, but it is something to pay attention to—especially if your relationships have been undergoing some tension over the last few months. On the other side of the transit, you’ll be able to trust in a stronger connection (or an understanding that the relationship isn’t going to work) and you’ll be able to obtain some peace.
Gemini
Your love life will certainly have a significant opportunity in 2023, Gemini. On October 14th, your 5th House of Romance, Creativity, and Passion will get the spotlight as a Solar Eclipse in Libra takes place, meaning that some brand new doors are opening for you in this department. Whether it’s a chance meeting with someone new or a new perspective on a current romance, the way you see things is going to have a major shift that will be difficult to ignore—so instead of fighting it, embrace it. After all, no one loves possibilities more than you.
Cancer
While multiple areas of your life will get some attention this year, one of the bigger impacts will surround your career and finances. With the North Node (which deals with your future and where you are going in this life) moving into your 10th House of Career and Reputation, it’s no surprise that some doors will likely open up to help spotlight your name and your hard work. Add in the Solar Eclipse on April 20th transiting the same house, and you will feel empowered to step into your own. However, this year is also learning just as much about how to budget and structure yourself as it is about receiving anything. It’s time to revisit your relationship with money and learn how to manage it well. Security is the name of the game, Cancer, and this year is shaping up to be a big win for you in this department.
Leo
You’ve likely felt the push to take care of yourself and conserve your energy, and for good reason. This year is putting a focus on the way you navigate relationships—with others and yourself. Venus will move into your sign this summer, only to shift into retrograde on July 22nd. This period will define a time of reassessing what you want out of relationships, as well as your expectations surrounding them. Your self-confidence might experience a little bit of a shake-up at times, but only if you aren’t being honest with yourself. This will be a time of growth and you long to deepen and strengthen your relationships, but you have to be able to communicate what you want and what you expect first—but the results will be worth it.
Virgo
Slow and steady wins the race, but that doesn’t mean it’s the most exciting. This year you’ll have more than one opportunity to sit with yourself and rethink who you want to be and what you want in life. Most notably when Mercury (your ruling planet) goes retrograde in your sign on August 23rd, you will likely be revisiting your past and sifting out what you want to take with you into the future. This time will signal a desire for a clean slate—whether it’s redefining a relationship or leaving it behind altogether. There is always room for growth, and this year is asking you to embrace it now more than ever.
Libra
As a sign often associated with relationships, many may assume you already have a healthy relationship with them—but that hasn’t exactly been the case for you, has it? This year will mark a turning point in terms of the types of relationships you have and keep—if you’re willing to do the work. With the Solar Eclipse in Aries on April 20th and the North Node in Aries transiting your 7th House of Partnerships, you will have plenty of opportunities to express and reimagine what you want and deserve in your relationships. Instead of surface-level connections that don’t mean much of anything, it’s a time to go deeper. Of course, the only way this happens is if you communicate what you want and what you need, but if you can be upfront and honest, you’ll have a much better shot at finally having the friends, romantic partners, and connections that you’ve longed for, rather than settling for less.
Scorpio
You’ve been working on yourself and revisiting what love and romance mean to you as past eclipse seasons have run you ragged. The good news is in 2023, the culmination of those efforts seems to pay off. October 28th will introduce a Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse in your 7th House of Partnerships, which bookends this journey in a big, even intense way. New love may be taking shape, or love that already exists will likely grow deeper and more secure—but regardless, it’s calling your name.
Sagittarius
The doors for passion and romance are wide open for you this year, Sagittarius, if you can be responsible about them. You’ve likely felt a little stagnant as of late, but once The North Node in Aries starts moving through your 5th House of Creativity and Romance, it’s a push to act on those ideas and those desires you’ve been sitting on. This shift will make an important turn for you, and it’s not a time to sit back and let it pass you by.
Capricorn
This year is asking you to take down your walls a little, though it won’t be the easiest. 2023 has plenty of possibilities for you in terms of connection, love, and even financial stability, but it all hinges on you learning how to trust and let others in. The North Node in Aries will be working its way through your 4th House of Home and Roots, and you’ll likely be revisiting your childhood (including unhealed wounds) to figure out what’s kept you so guarded. Once Venus in Retrograde starts taking place on July 22nd in Your 8th House of Intimacy, Shared Resources, and Bonds, you may sense some hesitation, but this is a time to ask yourself what you don’t trust about the situation. Your intuition is always a valuable asset, but it’s important this year that you learn what is intuition and what is unhealed fear holding you back.
Aquarius
Relationships have been a bit of a sore spot for you in the past, but 2023 is determined to shine a positive light on them. With Leo Venus in Retrograde working through your 7th House of Relationships, you’ll be asked to reflect on your past connections and figure out what are your desires versus what you think you’re supposed to want. The transformation has always been in your wheelhouse, but you are more prone to stick to what you’ve known (and keep your guard up) than fully embrace what honesty and vulnerability can look like in a healthy, safe relationship. In 2023, you’re going to learn.
Pisces
The most important thing to happen to you this year, Pisces, is allowing people to see who you truly are—even if it’s nerve-wracking to do so. With Saturn shifting into your 1st House, you may feel a more serious approach to how you carry yourself—this is the start of a years-long transit that will push you to evaluate yourself and set some boundaries. Additionally, with Mercury in Retrograde happening in the sign of Virgo moving through your 7th House of Partnerships, it’s a good time to focus on clear, honest communication about how you’re feeling and what you want. It can be hard to pinpoint who you are, as you try to be all things to all people. But 2023 is asking that you just be you, and be proud of that.
