Get ready, because Venom is in a hurry to return! Great news for fans of the franchise starring Tom Hardy in the role of Eddie Brock, the penniless journalist who is Spider-Man’s enemy and “possessed” by the alien symbiote who in these films has a passion for chocolate and eating heads and livers.

According to what was reported by American newspapers, the title of the third chapter to be released this year has been officially revealed. The rumors that emerged a few months ago have been confirmed because the threequel is titled Venom: The Last Dance. No details yet on the plot, but everything suggests that this could be the last time we will see the symbiote and Tom Hardy in action: end of the run for the franchise?

There is also another piece of news relating to Venom 3: Sony has decided to bring forward the release of the film, news which is usually always welcomed with pleasure by fans. Instead of arriving in theaters on November 8th, Venom: The Last Dance has been moved to October 25th, 2024. In the new film, remember, in addition to finding the actor from Mad Max: Fury Road in the role of the lethal protector, we will also see new faces like Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo. The film will be directed by Kelly Marcel, making her directorial debut, and is also the author of the screenplay.

The Venom films are part of the so-called Spider-Verse from Marvel Sony and are by far the films that have given the major the most joy: the first chapter, released in 2018 and directed by Ruben Fleischer, grossed a total of 856 million dollars, while the 2021 sequel Let there be Carnage directed by Andy Serkis stopped at 506 million. Critics and audiences didn’t particularly appreciate this latest film, but now the franchise will be able to remake itself with a new adventure.
